Special Events
The Freeman Community Club (FCC) sponsors many special community events throughout the year. The following is a list.
- Seniors Bingo
- Trick-or-Treaters stop
- Freeman Christmas Lighting
- Christmas Fruit Baskets
- Community Breakfast
- Easter Candy Hunt
- Picnic in the Park
- Flags on Main Street
- Gather food bank donations
- Pot Luck Suppers
Some of these events take a lot of work to set up and accomplish. Any help the community can provide is appreciated.
Benefits to Local Youth
The Freeman Community Club has long been a supporter of Midway youth by making donations to school funds and the Midway Youth Association. The FCC has sponsored a boy to MO Boys State for many years. Here is a list of FCC donations to youth projects over the past three years.
- Six $500 scholarships to Midway Seniors.
- Six $400 Boys State Sponsorships.
- $300 donation to Midway Youth Association.
- $450 to Midway after Prom.
Lending a Helping Hand
The FCC has always been there for those in need of help. Over the past three years the FCC has donated $1800 to families that had financial emergencies. In addition donations are made to programs benefiting local charities and the Freeman Memorial Garden as needed.
The RV Park produces over half the income for the FCC.
